OneKP HRGP Hub

We report a novel and robust motif and amino acid bias (MAAB) bioinformatics pipeline to classify the hydroxyproline-rich glycoprotein (HRGP) family into 24 descriptive sub-classes.

Applying MAAB to the OneKP dataset revealed the origin of GPI-anchored AGPs in green algae, the appearance of cross-linking (CL)-extensins (EXTs) in bryophytes, the first land plants, and the ability to find putative orthologs of Arabidopsis pollen-specific AGPs in basal eudicots.
